I shot Amy and Tracy’s wedding on Feb. 21st of this year…just 2 weeks before I gave birth! Oh, let me tell you, Amy was one of the sweetest brides I’ve ever had. She was just a good ol’ down home country girl! She is beautiful…I think she reminds me of like Carrie Underwood or someone like that. :) Anyway, she was willing to do whatever (my kind of bride!) and I was grateful! Lauren and Gavin

Oh, these two…they are such amazing people! I am so so so blessed to be among their hundreds of friends. Of all the people you know, these two would probably be on the top of your faves list as well…they are the most kind, loving, considerate, and wonderful Christian examples you’ll find! Matt, London, and I are so blessed to know them! I think many share our opinion, since their beautiful ceremony and reception was packed full of guests from everywhere. It was all held at Lauren’s parents’ house…the ceremony in the front yard and the reception in the back. Don’t think this means it was small and plain, because it was far from it! Every detail was perfect. Lauren and Gavin had clearly been planning for a while…from the clothes line full of tiny squares of paper and a bucket of pens for guests to write advice on to the prince and princess handmade coloring books and buckets of crayons for the kids, this wedding “looked like it was from Southern Living” (as quoted by Aarek Farmer, groomsman.) The cake was gorgeous, the live band was wonderful, the food was crazy good, and the guests were happy. I’m telling you! I’ve done many a wedding in my day, and this was the best. :) Not to mention there wasn’t a dry eye in the place when Gavin saw Lauren walking down the aisle…

And as far as pictures go, it didn’t hurt that Lauren is one of those girls you can stand two inches from and not find a single flaw on her face. The girl is beautiful!

Enjoy a few of their photos! I hope ya’ll know that when I post pictures on this junky blog it rips the colors to shreds and just makes them look way more bland. It also takes the beautiful sharpness of them and ruins it as well. It makes me so MAD! BOOOO!!! But I hope you like them anyway! Gavin and Lauren, I promise they look better when you see them in real life as prints!

Making fun of the ugly up-do’s in the hair books at the salon…

Okay, so the entrance of the men was hilarious! Basically, Gavin and two groomsmen came running down the aisle frantically, as Gavin was checking his watch (the song playing was “Here It Goes Again” by OK Go.)

Then, in come the groomsmen, one by one, to give him parts of his outfit, you know…shoes, jacket, cologne spray, etc. They came from the craziest places! One was in the audience, one rode up on a bike, one jumped out of the trunk of a car, etc. Here’s one of Aarek right after he jumped out from behind a bush.

I have tons more, but I have to save some for them!

And then he saw her…

Check this girl out! One of my great friends, Amanda Scott, was a guest and I LOVED hanging with her! She shot my maternity pictures and they are amazing, just like her!

Carissa and Roy-engaged

I had so much fun photographing Carissa and Roy last week! After getting kicked out of our first location (haha) we found a really great alternative that turned out really cool! Their photoshoot was my first job since London’s birth. I’m still on maternity leave, but just had to squeeze them in. They are so lovely and are as sweet as can be! Aren’t they nice to look at, too? :) Enjoy a few of their photos!

Also, it is still messing up the color/clarity of my photos…boo…I am hoping to get a better blog soon!

Kellie and Casey

Woah! So last year I shot 30 weddings, half of which I did while pregnant. :) Interesting indeed! Now that London is 8 weeks old, I am trying to get somewhat back into the swing of things. This year I am only working part-time. I have already shot two weddings this year and have lots more to come. I haven’t posted the last 3 or so weddings I’ve done, so I thought I’d try to do that now!

Kellie and Casey were originally getting married this month…but quickly decided to move their date back to last December! Luckily I didn’t have a wedding planned for that day, so I was still able to travel to Camden, TN and shoot their wedding. Kellie is soooo sweet. I loved working with her! Enjoy some of their photos!

And again…when I post my photos, it takes the vibrancy out of them! They are so colorful before and then when they are posted on here they loose some color and I’m not sure why! It’s driving me nuts!

London Grace is here!

It took me long enough to blog…I’ve been a little busy. :) London Grace was born on 3/6/09 3 weeks early to the day. I am on maternity leave until May. I have one photoshoot and one wedding at the end of May, so until then I’m taking some time off. If you are waiting for an album, I am trying to finish all the ones I needed to catch up on…since London’s due date wasn’t until the 27th I sort of ran out of time and had planned on being caught up before she arrived! So I’m working on it now. :)

Here’s a few photos of London at one week old. God has blessed us with such a beautiful, sweet baby…we love her so much and are so excited to have her here!

Carleen and Scott

Carleen and Scott’s wedding was another of my last of 2008 that I forgot to blog. I loved this wedding, their wedding party was hilarious! They were all so nice the day of the wedding. Their ceremony and reception were gorgeous. They were the second reception I’ve shot at the Cadre downtown…it’s such a cool place! Special thanks to the bride and groom for such a great day. Enjoy some photos!

Also…I’m not sure what’s happening with my colors on this blog…but they are not as vibrant AT ALL as they are when I’m inserting them. So what you are seeing are really very muted versions of each photo. It happened for this wedding and the next one I posted. I’m sorry about that, I have no idea what’s happening!
